Formed from the ashes of bands such as Discount Chiefs, Ralph & The Ponytails, Men of Gwent and the Darling Buds, Newport based Give Me Memphis have become reknown for their energetic live shows while supporting the likes of Jon Langford and The Three Johns. At one stage nicknamed “Britains laziest band” for taking a mere 13 years to follow up their debut album (1999's Hail!) the band returned to the studio with producer Richard Jackson (previous work includes Future of the Left, The Automatic and engineer for Super Furry Animals) to record the art-pop punk classic that is "Fore".

The twelve guitar-led tunes such as “Mix and Match”, “Helen Heaven” and “Ocean Almanac” highlight the  brilliant musicianship of the five piece who, by not taking themselves too seriously, fly in the face of the current trend of po-faced indie noodling. Fans of the Darling Buds will also be interested to hear lead singer Andrea Lewis adding vocals to the track “Snowing”.
